Privacy Policy
In short: Şarj Ne Kadar? needs no account, shows no ads, does not track you and uses no analytics. Your car, profile and charge log stay on your device or in your own iCloud account; we cannot see them.
This policy covers the sarjnekadar.com web site and the Şarj Ne Kadar iOS app.
Web site
- Stored in your browser: your chosen car, optional name, car name and plate, charge log, monthly budget, and language and map preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to our server. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- Location: if you allow it, the location your browser reports is used to start a route where you are and to centre the map. It is not stored.
- Routing: the coordinates of your start and destination are sent to our own routing server to calculate the route.
- Address search: the text you type into the search box, and coordinates when looking up an address for a location, are sent to Photon, an OpenStreetMap based service run by Komoot GmbH.
- Map and traffic: map tiles load from OpenFreeMap. If you turn on the traffic layer, traffic tiles are fetched from TomTom through our server; TomTom receives only tile numbers, not your IP address.
- Opening another app: if you choose a link such as "Open in Google Maps", your route points go to that service and its privacy policy applies.
- Cookies: we do not use cookies.
iOS app
- On your device and in your iCloud: your profile (name, car name, plate), car and route settings, recent addresses and charge log are kept on your device. If iCloud is on, they are backed up to the private area of your own iCloud account and appear on devices signed in to the same Apple Account. We have no access to this data.
- Location: used only while you use the app and with your permission, to start routes, show nearby chargers and give directions in driving mode. Driving mode may use location in the background to keep following the route while the phone is locked. Your location is not stored on our server.
- Routes and search: routes and address search use Apple Maps, under Apple's privacy policy. If Apple Maps finds no route, the start and destination coordinates are sent to our own routing server as a fallback.
- Data updates: the app downloads station, tariff and vehicle data from sarjnekadar.com. These requests carry nothing that identifies you.
Station suggestions
When you suggest a missing charger, the station name, network, map position, socket types, power and note you enter are stored on our server. No name, email or device identifier is taken with a suggestion. To limit abuse, your IP address is held only in server memory, as an irreversible hash, for about an hour before it is deleted, and is never written to storage. Suggestions we approve are published on the public map.
Server logs
Our servers may keep standard access logs, such as IP address, time and requested path, for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. They are not used for any other purpose or shared with third parties.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share personal data for advertising. The services named above receive only what is needed to provide the feature in question.
Children
The service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
